Hike Mount Muhabura Volcano 4127 meters

Mt Muhabura is also known as Mt Muhavura to local people in Kisoro area, Mt Muhabura’s highest peak is 4127 meters above sea level and in the local language (Rufubira) Muhabura means the guide which is used by locals coming from a different direction because being the highest mountain in the area it can be seen from far hence used as a guide. Once you hike Mt Muhabura to the top you enjoy amazing views of three countries Rwanda Uganda and DR-Congo also on top of Mt Muhavura volcano there is a beautiful crater lake but the water is too cold so it’s not advisable to a swim in this crater lake you can as well swim but the water is very cold.

Hike both Mount Sabinyo 3669 meters and Mount Gahinga 3474 meters

Mt Muhabura is the highest but easier to hike if you compare to both Mt Sabinyo and Mt Gahinga, this is to say that Sabinyo and Gahinga are the hardest to hike but also the most interesting volcanoes to climb in Uganda.
