UGANDA DOUBLE GORILLA AND WILDLIFE SAFARIS FROM KIGALI

Day 1

Arrival, Kigali City tour and transfer to Volcanoes National park.

On your arrival you will be welcomed by our own guide/driver who will gladly take you for a Kigali city tour and you will be mesmerized by the natural beauty of Rwanda the land of thousands hills. It’s such a clean city with hospitable people who will be warmly happy to receive you. The first spot that tourists visit when on a city tour in Rwanda is the genocide memorial museum; it has information about how this war started. You continue visiting the national museum and other attractive sites in the city (Kigali City tour is optional). After drive off to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2

Golden Monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park

Have breakfast, you will proceed for golden monkey tracking, this is another existing moment. Prior to meeting the golden monkeys, you will see other primates, fauna and flora. Finally get face to face with the beautiful golden monkeys. You will see them play as they jump from one branch of tree to the other; all this will be amazing and memorable for your African safari.

Day 3

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest of Uganda

After breakfast, pick your packed lunch and drive to park headquarters for briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your gorilla tracking at 8:00 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your park ranger guides to find the gorillas, which can take you half an hour to three quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered creatures.

Day 4

Second Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

On this day, following the same procedure like on the first gorilla tracking adventure, you will follow a different gorilla group, different from the one tracked on the previous day. On return from the tracking, drive to Lake Bunyonyi , one of the world’s fresh water lake, free of Bilharzia, where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth Nation Park

After breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through green banana and tea plantation in Bushenyi, you will have a game drive enroute before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

From Queen Elizabeth National Park- Kibale Forest National Park

Morning game drive which will take you through different parts of  Queen Elizabeth National Park and in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes Edward and George. This launch cruise will reward you with game like hippos, elephants, buffaloes and birds at the shores, thereafter we transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 7

Morning chimpanzee tracking and bigodi swamp walk in the afternoon

After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest to view the primates. Chimpanzee tracking activity begins at 8.00am with a briefing of the rule for trekking the chimps after which you set off to search for them in the forest. This exercise can takes half a day and along the way you will see other primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red-Colobus and the Blue tailed and the Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the braches of this thick forest. The park ranger guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates you will be coming across and on the plants as well as on the insects and butterflies in this forest to ensure that the tracking is not only enjoyable but informative as well. Return to the lodge for lunch after go for afternoon Bigodi swamp community walk.

Day 8

End of 8 Days Uganda Double Gorilla and Wildlife Safari from Kigali Rwanda

After morning breakfast, you will drive back to Entebbe airport or Kigali International Airport for your flight out late in the evening.
