FITNESS LEVELS REQUIRED FOR GORILLA TREKKING

What fitness level is required and What
to eat before or when you going to track gorillas.

Different Gorilla families/groups require different fitness levels, some gorilla groups/families are easier to take, if you are not very fit, or old age, Rwanda gorilla tracking leave from the same point, where park ranger guides will select easier and more difficult tracking according to your fitness leveling from Kinigi briefing point. Fitness level required for the Uganda gorilla tracking, if you are not fit enough you tell the safari company booked with to get for you the gorilla families/groups which are not fair, but this should not worry you because gorilla tracking takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of gorillas,  Uganda Wildlife Authority will provide you with free walking sticks after the briefing. Our safari guide will give you enough water to help you during your Gorilla trekking

As you have an early heavy breakfast before your trek, the lodge or accommodation will provide you with packed lunch, usually, light snacks are also recommended. Uganda gorilla tracking is done in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, while in Rwanda gorilla tracking is done in Volcanoes National park and DR Congo tracking is done in Virunga National Park
