Overview
This extraordinary hiking safari will take you from Kigali, Rwanda, across the border to DR Congo and lake Kivu. We will embark on our hike to Mt. Nyiragongo volcano in Congo, the 3,400 m active volcano with the largest permanent lava pond in the world. After an seeing the forceful crater, we descend and continue to the northern side of the volcano. From there you we will visit the rare mountain gorillas on the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes. then after, we return to Kigali, Rwanda.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrival in Kigali Rwanda
Met our company representative in Kigali – Rwanda, and be transferred to Goma Town after a brief Kigali city tour and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Linda Hotel in Goma
Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park- Congo
Take an early breakfast and transfer to park station in Virunga National Park. After a briefing with park rangers, go on a mountain gorilla trek. Transfer back to hotel diner and overnight at Linda Hotel in Goma Town
Day 3
Mount Nyiragongo Volcano Hiking
After an early breakfast, transfer to Volcano trail head in Virunga National Park. Staring at 8:00 am, hike for approximately 6 hrs making to the crater rim. Have the whole evening to enjoy the view from the crater and watch the lava inside. Overnight: in tents at the rim of the giant crater high above the mount Nyiragongo volcano active lava lake
Day 4
Transfer Back to Kigali
Breakfast and start to descend by 7 or 8 am. Arrive at the trail head before lunch and transfer back to hotel for refreshment thereafter road transfer to Kigali for relaxation or to catch your onward flight home
