Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Uganda-Bwindi Forest

You will be picked up by our guide or company representative at Kanobe International Airport in Kigali City Rwanda, ready to start your 3 Days Uganda gorilla tracking trip starting with a Kigali city tour that will give you chance to visit the Gisozi genocide memorial site, local craft market, drive around the city center, visit fruit markets around Kigali then after you transfer to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This will be 3 and a half hours drive to Bwindi Forest, this drive takes you through the regal rolling hills that describe much of Rwanda, enter Uganda through Cyanika or Katuna border, and continue through the rolling hills of Rwanda before crossing to the ‘Switzerland of Africa’ in Uganda Kisoro area for diner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, our tour guide/ driver will drive you to Bwindi Forest Park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of Uganda Gorilla Tracking. When done with the briefing, you will be joined by park ranger guides and trackers who will lead you to the slopes of the Bwindi Forest to trek the habituated gorilla family. Mountain gorilla tracking is quite active which can take between 3 to 7 hours depending on where the gorilla’s crusade also for anyone to trek gorillas, you must have some level of aptness.

Once you find them, you are only allowed to spend only one hour with gorillas watching them, taking lots of photos, filming them, and adore seeing baby gorillas joshing from trees to other, it is an astonishing feeling being with these stunning yet threatened creatures, after return to your lodge.  

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali Rwanda

3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking from Rwanda Kigali, after breakfast we will drive you back to Kigali Rwanda, you can pick to be dropped off at the airport or anywhere in Kigali.

• Camera and extra batteries.
• Hiking boots, gloves, rain jacket.
• Insect repellant is suggested.
• sunscreen and a sun hat, since the sun may be hot during the day.
• At least 1-2 liters of drinking water per person during the trekking.
• water-resistant bags to protect cameras and other equipment when hiking, in case it rains.
