10 Days Uganda Primates Wildlife Safari Uganda

Day 1: Arrival – Kampala transfer

Our 10 Days Uganda Primates Wildlife Safari Uganda will start with One of our company representatives will pick you from the airport and transfer your to a hotel of you choice in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kampala –Murchison Falls National Park

Depart Kampala early morning taking a panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle. Stop over at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Opened up in 1998, the Rhino fund aims at re introducing black and white Rhinos in to Uganda’s protected areas as well as educating the local communities on endangered Rhinos, poaching and environmental conservation. The Rhino trek takes 1-2 hours and you will get an opportunity of viewing them at close quarters kob. Have a lunch stop in Masindi and continue on to the top of the falls. Checking in for dinner and overnight at accommodation of you choice.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning game drive to search for giraffes, lions, hart beasts, elephants, cape buffalo and many other mammals. Birds include the Black Chested Snake Eagle, Blue Napped Mousebirds, the Secretary bird, Swallow Tailed Bee-eaters and the Silver Headed Agama. After lunch, enjoy a boat ride on the placid Victoria Nile to the foot of the magnificent Murchison Falls where the Nile plunges through a narrow crevice and over a 40 metre drop. En route, you may see the Nile crocodile, pools of hippo, water bucks and a variety of bird specie. Disembark from your boat and take a 45 minutes hike to the gorge where the river explodes in to several cascades to form the falls. Diner and Overnight at Fort Murchison nature lodge.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale Forest National park

Take a scenic drive on to fort portal town, checking in for dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth N. P

Early morning walk in Kibale Forest to track the habituated chimps. Watch the delightful apes as they squabble and play in trees. After lunch, we shall go for a 2-3 hour optional nature walk in Bigodi Swamp a home of 200 bird species including the Papyrus Gonolek and the Great Blue Turaco. The swamp has also got 8 Primate Species and an abundance of butterflies. Get a chance to visit Bigodi women’s project located at the wetland sanctuary office in Bigodi trading centre. The group sells Mats, bags, jewelry and 10% of all sales from crafts contribute to community development and over the years, the income has funded Bigodi Pre – Primary school and supported orphans, widows, the disabled and other disadvantaged people in the community, after drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, be prepared for some incredible scenery along the way. This park protects 200km of Rift Valley Savanna, interspersed with patches of forest and crater lakes. Lunch will be served at your respective lodge, have a relaxation and then drive tokasenyi for an evening game drive in search for wild animals which include Elephants ,Buffalos ,Deferent species of antelopes ,sometimes the wild big cats like the lions and the Leopards among others.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Lodge: Bush Lodge.
Drive time: 3-4 hours.

Day 07: Morning Game drive and Afternoon Boat cruise.

This morning you will head to back to the plains of Kasenyi for a morning game drive to try to find what could have missed the previous day. Lunch will be served at the lodge and after you will head to the jetty along kazinga channel for the afternoon boat cruise. This cruise offers you chances of viewing animals like: hippos, water birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and many other wildlife which flop the channel for drinking water.

Lodge: Bush Lodge.

Day 08: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National park heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Here you still have a chance of viewing more wild life as you drive through the park. With your parked lunch served enroute you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park arriving at your lodge in the evening.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Lodge: Buhoma community Rest camp.
Drive time: 4-5 hours.

Day 09: Gorilla Trekking

Early morning, breakfast with your packed lunch, you will report to the Park headquarters for registration and join other trackers in a briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your Gorilla Tracking at 7:45 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you half an hour to three quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.

Lodge: Buhoma community Rest camp

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park through the small towns of Uganda. Lunch will be served enroute. Enjoy an enroute game drive as you drive to your lodgehotel for check in.After checking in you will drive to the lake for a boat cruise in search for hippos, Crocodiles and water birds among others.

Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Lodge: Eagles Nest Lodge

End of your Safari.
